- none at present (looking into the perfect parrot for our family)
HI again all
I've put up a couple of posts on the forums now asking about certain bird species as my boyfriend and I are trying to narrow down what parrot would be the right fit for us.
Currently we're torn between Senegals, Green cheek conures and blue crowned conures. The deciding factor now will be which bird will be best suited to family life, because although we do not currently have children we will definitely be having them in the future.
Which of these birds in your opinions would be most suited as a family bird for a home with kids? Or what other species would you suggest? We're not worried about the bird being a 'talker' we would just like a playful, hopefully cuddly bird with tonnes of personality that will be less likely to nip little finger. (Obviously all birds are different so Im generalising a bit, but we need to narrow down our search somehow, we can;t start off with three parrots! XD)
Also, i would bird shows be a good way to meet owners of these species in the uk? I'd love to meet some of each in the flesh before deciding and every parrot owner I know has either a grey, an amazon or a cockatoo...! (Wheres the love for the smaller birds?!)
