Hello Everyone!
I'm Josh. I was fortunate enough to stumble onto this forum whilst browsing for tips for new macaw/bird owners. First we have a fairly young Macaw, Liela, which my dad bought thinking it was a Blue and Gold. When i first saw her, i quickly realized she was a starlight or catalina. She is close to 2 years old, and beautiful, but she isn't very friendly
Then there is Moody. He is a Moluccan Cockatoo and is, from what we are told, 4 years old. He too is also very unfriendly, but extremely beautiful.
We also have Marlo, an African Grey. He lets us pet him, but tries to bite me when i put my hand in his cage.
Being the designated beast master of my house, i'm hoping i can gain some insight on how i should go about training these new members of my family to interact better with us. I am a firm believer that no animal should be caged all day.
I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my wall of text
