Ok, so I finally managed to get a hold of red palm oil (sustainably harvested) and coconut oil. I've added it to a couple of Cairo's meals, but the problem now is cleaning off the oily residue from his bowls. I have two sets of all his bowls, so while one is in use, then other can dry off.
The oil is too much for apple cider vinegar to clean off, or at least it doesn't clean it well enough to my liking. I do alternate between cleaning his bowls with apple cider vinegar and diluted white vinegar, and I make sure to sun it, even with them being stainless steel. I haven't yet bought a bottle of F10 since he's an only fid - if I had a second fid, I'd definitely get it.
Q: would F10 clean the oily residue better than vinegar? I hate using dish soap on his bowls. When I do resort to dish soap, I rinse it then clean again with vinegar and rinse it again, then air/sun it for hours before rinsing again with vinegar (sorry, massively paranoid about Cairo). But nothing else removes the oil :/
