Can someone tell the meaning or why... when I play a recording of them or of other birds, my birds get hyper active and excited... from not wanting to anything with me... to coming over to me to listen to the phone/attack it (not aggressively)

He'll (Rocky) will fly to me to investigate as well.... anyone else?

Parrots are curious animals and want to investigate if they hear a "new bird" (is it a threat, a friend, a potential mate, just coexisting here???).

Have you tried playing them videos of other birds yet? Bet they'll go nuts:D

Cookie (BFA) really enjoys you tube vids of birds as well...AND seeing any birds on TV. I also started take short videos of himself fooling around with Booger and let him watch it, which gets him all worked up and excited (in a good way).. He will sit on my shoulder watching.. gabbing away at himself on the screen.... and when the vid ends he bangs me on the side of my head to play it again. He realizes he is looking at himself and hes started hamming it up a bit when Im recording him.. What a hoot to watch.

My Rickeybird doesn't seem to respond much to birds online, or in reality, or to recordings of himself. He doesn't seem at all interested in his own or our reflections. The one time he did seem interested in another bird was when Wrench and I Skyped a while back. Both Salty and the Rbird seemed to study one another as we chatted. Oh, and the Rbird screamed pretty much nonstop, which he does when there is an unfamiliar person too close to me...
Not sure what all that means.
I was told that the Rickeybird was completely hand-fed since his eyes opened, so maybe he's completely mis-imprinted.
