Everybody Still On Vacation?

It seems that the last time I was here, there was more activity.....hope it's just that everybody's still on vacation.....or.....maybe some are getting ready to go back to school or getting their kids ready to go back.....

That would be some LONG vacations haha. I think as with any forum probably the majority of members will participate for some time, then go away (either for weeks, months, or permanently for whatever reason). New members will join, and a percentage of them will become the new group of regulars (with some longer standing members thrown in there too).

Example, last time I was on a forum, it was 2005-6. Just this year I tried to go back there, but I had found it went away LOL. Why I stopped participating then, I can't remember, but there's that cyclical "pattern" like you see here. Now, I'm addicted to PF :52: can't stop!!!

I think it's just holiday season - I'm on holiday as we speak, just I'm one of those horrible people who makes for the nearest wifi spot the second I get off the plane to answer 'important' emails, then ends up on the parrot forum within five minutes...

Haha, I'm one of those horrible people also . Addiction I tell you. Sometimes I don't even realize my fingers are clicking to come here until it's too late :52: LOL

I sometimes don't get time to read everything or I read something and have nothing important to add but just feel like posting because I feel like talking to everyone else. (then I wonder if people think "why did she even say that, as it is of no value?" hahaha)

This is a great place for us. Not only do we share information that IS valuable, but we have a 'safe haven' to ooh and aaah about our parrots--it's the overflow so to speak, the stuff our friends at home and on Facebook probably can't handle in large doses.

The sweetest thing about this (or any) forum is that nobody owes anyone an explanation as to where they've been, what they've done, when they post, why they post, or what they're up to in their own free time.

I'm busy with summer things. Growing things, working two horses (one needs remedial work), working at the shop. When the days get shorter I should be able to visit more often.
