everybody meet Loki!!!! my new conure

This is my eleven week old green cheek conure!! "his" name is Loki!
you cant really see it but he has a lot of pineapple markings, very red belly and breast, and a very deep green/blue color with blue on the back of his head.
I got him from petco on sale for $199.99 marked down from $399.99 so I got a bunch of extra things for Loki.
my boyfriend and I left covered in blood because Loki bit us badly lol


when I brought home Loki, my pineapple Button chirped at Loki and Loki chirped back.. they continued for half an hour as they watched each other from separate cages. Loki wanted out of his cage so badly but couldnt figure it out, so I helped Button venture towards Lokis cage. Once together, Button and Loki got along great! no nipping, a small argument about food (Loki thinks Button will share lol) and now the two are back in separate cages.

I know I shouldn't have put them together so soon but I went with my heart.

Oh wow, Buttons and Loki are so colourful! They are beautiful birds. :]
I would personally keep them separate for now, just while Loki settles in.

I think you did fine to give them an small introduction to see how they did. They handled it well. Short play dates like that will get them used to each other. They are both beautiful birds.
