I guess I really just needed an excuse, and with both my "boys" being gone (again), I just HAD to fill that void, that hole in my heart.

So, I once had a pretty neat Fire Belly Toad setup and decided to start one up again.

Here we go...get ready for some pictures. :) Now I do need help with naming them. I have 5 frogs in there in total, and only 1 of them has a name (Kermit...thanks Tab ;) ) So I'm in the market for some cool froggy names.

Full tank (it's a 20 long)

He's on the left

What do you think of the name Rivet?

Oh wow it's amazing.

Is it difficult to keep clean?

Thanks Sammy. :) I'll tell you in a week, when it's time for a partial water change. ;)

I set this one up much more elaborate than my last one, and the last one was a breeze to keep clean. Partial water changes every week, clean out the filter cartridges in my waterfall, remove dead crickets (IF there are any) and test water once a week. :)

Glad you like the name.... : )

Very Cool Set up you've made!!!

Nice setup for your new critters! Just off the top of my head....Pugsly, slick, tadpole, hopper, Roo, Leviathan ....I could go on and on :)

ok, since I love thinking of names for animals here goes....

Jabba
Kermit, ha ha
Munky
Hopper
Quibit(love that one)
Pickles

WOW! Awesome set up!!!

AWESOME SET UP!, it looks soooo good!
if Sarah saw it she would want one, uggggg.

One could be "PRINCE"....which one? Kiss them to find out ! LOL

OOOOOH, i love them!!! They are so adorable!! When i had fish, i used to pick names from mythology or 'antiquity'. (You know, Virgil, Proteus, Homer......) I think there's something funny about such a 'serious' name for these little critters.
And i love crimson's suggestion of "munky"........i had a fish my brother named DOOKIE.

Wendy, beautiful set up, and they are adorable. I see them on craigslist every once in a while and I must say I have been tempted but that would push hubby over the edge. as it is he is pretty close now as I bought a chiuahua 2 months ago to be Bentley's playmate and she is systematically trying to destroy the house one room at a time and eating power cords one at a time. as I type this Ray is rewiring one of the two vaccumes she took the cord off of. Yesterday he rewired his CPAP machine and two table lamps. She is only seven lbs and 8 mo old . we wont talk about the 2 holes in the wall to wall carpeting or the damage to the furniture he also had to rewire the plug to my computer, ect, ect. Damn good thing she' cute. Her name is Chloe. Hugs to you and the new froggys:eek::D

hahaha!! Oh my, your doggy is busy. I have been so very lucky with my dogs. I have only had two puppies ever, and the others i took as adults, but my pups weren't bad about chewing things in the house. Georgie was the chewing terror. haha. She chewed a leather chair, a dresser, power cords, etc. I swear i'm not that bad of a parront, she was just rather busy as a youngster and LOVED to destroy. :D

WOW, thank you all SO much!! :D You have given me some GREAT names. Ok, the decision has been made....

The frogs are:
KERMIT, ROBIN, RIVET, HOPPER & QUIBIT. :)

I'm planning on possibly adding 2 more down the road, and one of them will definitely be called PICKLES.

Now I know where you've been Alison!!! SO nice to hear from you!! :D Many congrats on your new puppy Chloe!! Uh-ooh sounds like you got yourself a whirlwind of a puppy there. All teeth, hey?? HAHAHAH!!!

C'mon, I'm sure Ray wouldn't mind a few frogs. They are truly easy maintenance, and I LOVE listening to them bark. :D

HUGS to you and Ray!!!!!

I have raised several puppies over 48 years , come to think of is more than several . She is the toughest one I have ever encountered and she has reminded me why after my last puppy 19 years ago and my third one in three years. I swore I would never get another puppy as long as I lived , When I got Bentley last year he was 2 and a half years old and the perfect dog, A 5 lb Chiweenie. She on the other hand is the puppy from Hell:eek:. To make it worse she is not housebroken but will use peepee pads part of the time. And your right she is a very busy girl. Hubby has the patience of a saint:21:. At least she gets along with the cat and dog both, and seems to get along with the birds. I do have hope for her someday if we both survive. I keep telling her that she is going to the New England Home for little orpaned puppies but she is not impressed and just jumps in my lap and gives me a kiss:D

Hey Wendy, I spent a month and a half on CL looking at puppies before getting Chloe and it is my daughters fault. She came down from Tampa with her 5 and a half mo old chiweenie, Luna and Bentley fell in love so I decided he really needed a playmate. She has an obsessive need to chew and loves all her nylar bones, any type of power cords which she not only chews but if you don't catch it she chews then into five inch peices, then chews them into little wads of copper, Why she isn't dead yet is beyond me. he also loves to chew anything plastic and has gotten into a few of the bird toys which have been chewed into little wads of unrecognizable plastic balls. By the way are looking for a dog?:D:rolleyes:

Love the new names! :D
