email???

Hi, is it possible to get an email everytime someone replys to a thread i've started/commented??? i really like that option...

The way it is set up now is that you are notified if you have a personal message. To send an e mail every time a person responds to a thread sounds like many many e mails. You could always go into the suggestions forum.

Oh my gosh, from my facebook, I get over 100 e-mails a day, now with this site, my inbox will just overflow like crazy!!!! Today I just cleaned up 2000 new messages inn my inbox since I haven't checked my e-mail in a week!

I believe you can select 'instant notification' in the drop down box in your 'edit options' This will send you an email when someone replies to a thread you started or a thread you are subscribed to. Be careful though it will send you loads of emails

Go to your "User CP" or user control panel by clicking the link on the blue bar near the top of the page. From there choose "Edit Option" under "Options & Settings" in the vertical menu.

Scroll down just a bit to the "Messaging and Notification" box and see the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" section. There is a drop down menu (aka combo-box for the programmers) where you can choose the default setting which is usually "do not subscribe."

In that menu you can choose to receive an email whenever anyone replies to a thread you've been active on. You can also choose to receive daily or weekly summaries of activity on threads you've been active on.
