When I first gave my flock fruit flavored pellets, Elvis went nuts over the banana shaped and flavored pellets. Soon after, anything I was eating that was yellow, he wanted to try some. He tried corn, pasta, pepper, potato, golden Apple, he even took a little nibble of cheese, then he found what he was looking for...banana. After he tried my banana, he didn't stop. He stole my banana, and has been stealing them ever since. He doesn't eat any of the other yellow foods now, it was as if he had been searching for the banana the whole time. I'm ok with that, as long as he eats his greens, pellets, carrots, and seed.
I'll have to get a photo or video of him with his banana, but he stops eating when I get my phone out. But he usually has banana on his beak when that happens, so it would be cute photo.

It is very nice that Elvis is eating very well!! So interesting and funny about the banana regime. Of course, he probably doesn't want be photographed with banana over his beak. :D My little guy actually likes a little bit of banana on my finger sometimes. It helps to "disguise" fruits and veggies sometimes because they love their seeds (millet, I'm looking at you!) but surprisingly my tiel eats some of his fresh foods even though he can't see much of the veggies. :54:
