I was surfing around and came upon these beautiful blue Ekkie morps, I've never seen these before and thought I'd share, the all blue are the males and the blue and white morph are the females, breathtaking!

Hey Ben, thought you, Mel, Coliopi and others owned by Ekkies might like those, maybe one day there will be enough bred that we will get to seem them first hand in the pet trade........

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT ONE!!! imagine their $$$ range though.

Not alot of info on price, I did see one website that hinted about price being between $10,000 and $15,000 USD, the females being the more exspensive.......

I know its not an ekkie, but while we're on the subject of wonderful mutations, have you seen the red African Grey? (I'm sure some of you have) There are quite a few around now.

Wow, those ekkies are amazing! Such stunning blue!

The red african grey is becoming more and more common, both on the internet and in the pet trade. I'm now very familiar with them.

WOW :11: I've seen red factor and double red factor CAG's before but never an all red one, simply Gorgeous!!!!!

Maybe we should start a parrot mutation thread, though I'm sure there are some out there that frown upon mutations, I know I'm not real big on hybrids, but this isn't quite the same........

Wow Thanks so much Bob they are amazing!!! I wonder what went on in the gene pool to get those mutations.

I love ekkies in any color! But I've hit my bird limit, so no ekkie for me, regardless of the color. I absolutely love the sweet little faces on the males and that kind of aloofness of the females.

The problem with those is a lot people would waste money on those when it's really not necessary. Those greys with the red factor mutations (whether it's all, half, some, or a few of the feathers) will actually lose the red after their first molt. So in plain words, they'll look like a normal African Grey after the first molt. As awesome as it looks, it would be a bad idea to spend thousands of dollars on a red grey (oxymoron right there, LOL) and then within a few months, he'll have the normal grey plumage.

Still, it would be really nice if they could make a red factor that lasts. :red::confused::grey:

Oh my they are stunning!!!!!!!! I would love to see one in the flesh, if the blue is as vibrant as the green they would be amazing to look at! Thank you for sharing!
