Egg laying

Sem our 19 year old Senegal laid 2 eggs, one on Monday the other on Tuesday. She's never laid an egg before so I was kind of shocked. I think she was too. She didn't try to guard it, just kind of looked at it like was something odd to her. Our lovebird would try to take a finger off if you messed with her eggs! She broke the first egg and I think ate some of the shell. The 2nd one I think she laid from her perch and broke on the cage grate. Anyone else have an egg layer? How many do they usually lay? She is still very hormonal, dancing for me every chance she gets.

She might be done but more likely she will want to lay until she gets a full clutch. Do not take the eggs away until she loses interest in them otherwise she will lay another clutch.
