Eating Suggestions Please!!!

Hello,
I have a few questions if anyone could help me with. First in my house we are very strict with diets and food. Our birds will normally eat fruits and veggies, some pellets (both fruity and plain), and sprouted seeds. Im finding this diet a little to hard to do because my bird is picky. She will only eat her vegetables and fruits when i am with her. I have tried to fake eat it, but she will only follow my example when i am near her. She eats her pellets but i find that they arent as good as fresh fruits and veggies. Also with the sprouted seeds it is very hard for me to keep track of the sprouted seeds, and keep washing them, and making sure they dont go bad. I think im going to stick with this diet, but does anyone have any other very healthy diets that i may try?:rainbow1::rainbow1:
 
Good quality pellets are actually quite a good diet and you could feed your bird just pellets and have her do fine.

You could increase the pellets and ramp back on the fruit and veggies and sprouts. I actually find sprouts easy to deal with, are you maybe being overly cautious with them. I use an Easy-sprout sprouter and then I keep them refrigerated for about 3 days, so I do have a pause between batches.

If you are making a ton of different fruits and veggies every day, maybe limit the variety to just a couple and do something different on different days. I sometimes get Trader Joe's 7-healthy veggies mix as a short cut.

Most pellet brands say on the bag that they are not a complete diet, they only fill in the gaps.

A high quality pellet like harrison's or totally organic should be fed as a staple diet.
 
I would suggest dye-free and sugar-free pellets, if you can get them.

I've found that my birds prefer their fresh/cooked foods to be mixed up. It's more appetizing to the eye! I usually try to go for a meal that is 15% legumes, 30% grains, 45% vegetables and 10% fruits. I have predominately small birds, so everything is made tiny for small beaks, then mixed up. How it turns out varies each time depending on ingredients.
