Hi guys,
We have a new Eclectus boy named Vinny who was born 7-20-12.
We have only had him a couple weeks....we feed him a full raw diet but he also still gets PB Eclectus pellets at night (what he was weaned unto by breeder).
Normally we fix his breakfast and he eats on the island w/ one of us in there w/ him. He will eat most everything we give him right up.
The other day we had to leave earlier that usual and we fixed his normal meal and put him in his cage to eat it. When we came home, he ate all of his pellets (his favorite) and barely any of his veggies/fruit mix. He also acted like he was starving...
How can I wean him to eventually eat in his cage? I may have to run out the door some mornings and not have time to sit w/ him while he eats.
What are some good steps to accomplish this?
