Middle of nowhere (kentuckianna)
Parrots
Roommates include Gus, Blue and gold macaw rescue and Coco, secondhand amazon
Last year there were no hatchlings, probably because we had an ice storm in February that year. But this year there are babies! Sorry for the focus, I only have a 300mm telephoto lens and didn't have a tripod with me, but you get the idea. I even got a blurry video, and watched Mom rip chunks off something else in the nest for herself and for the chicks (middle photo).

Oh, I LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you can follow them!

I think the photos are wonderful.

Ahh they're so cute. I think there's a pair of nesting red tailed Hawks behind my house, I'll have to see if I can find the nest (I've just heard / seen the birds)

Those are some amazing photos of amazing birds.

I've got a peregrine falcon pair nesting by my house.

Wow  - Just WOW
Nothing like that nesting near me!
Closest thing I've seen is a sparrowhawk!

AMAZING photos, thanks for sharing :)

Jealousy running very deep on this end! But very happy for them and you!

Sorry, but you kind of locked yourself into a stream of weekly pictures. :D

Oh I'll get daily pictures if I can, but I don't go near the nest on the weekends. On the weekends are always lots of people looking and I think that's enough stress. You see, the nest is way up in a sycamore in the other side of the river, and to see them you stand just beside the road which runs along the high cliff opposite the nest. I can look straight over at them! Is that a gift from the universe, or what?

What, no web cam ??? :(

Incredible! Thanks for sharing your photos! Lucky you!

Today's pictures (April 7). Again, no tripod so they aren't the sharpest. I cropped them down to the smallest size to save space. The first picture is a wider shot showing the nest in the tree for context - the nest is YUGE!

Now for some pictures of the hen and the chicks:

Finally, that deadbeat parent shows up!

Those are some more great photos!

I'll have to see if I can get photos of the peregrine falcons near my house.

Thanks for the updates!

Dead Beat! Hey, someone has to patrol the area and bring back an item of two from time to time, right? And that sightseer that got too close last week. Hey, that was me that provided an in their face photo-op and likely much needed pant change! The river west of us has an Eagle family and that story made last years local paper!

The three Red Tail Hawk families in our area are very busy, which is commonly a positive sign that they have full nests. We are about center of their ranges and short of general direction, have not been able to locate a nest.
