Through a sad situation I've been given a Dyson hot and cool fan ( one of those expensive cool and hot bladless fans).
I can't find any info beside the device doesn't allow itself to go over 200C and the outer case doesn't get hot (meant to be safe around kids). It has a thermo sensor so it'll only function in heater mode if the room is below a set temperature is it brings the noon to a set temperature and maintains it. It is also a normal cool fan.

Does anyone know any reason this could be a bad product in a parrot home?
I see no reason that the cool fan would be an issue but if I keep it then it'd be for the heating which I can't find any info on.

Any help?

Just following up incase this helps anyone else.
Currently Dyson hot and cool fans and purifiers use the same heating plates as GHD brand hair straighteners, which according to GHD are ceramic plates aluminium.
Which to my understanding is safe (the heating effect is very fast so it doesn't take long to get the job done ie I don't intend to leave it turned on for long periods).

Edit: thank you to plumsmum for the phone number!

It has been several years, since I had looked at the Dyson hot and cool fan. Understanding that point, I recall that digging down in to the details of the product:

- it does have a unique fan, deep inside the unit.

- You are correct that a ceramic covered aluminum does not 'off-gas' harmful gasses and the Dyson uses such plates!

* The plates do get hot, and fan does turn at high speed.

Much safer that most, but any devise that has even well hidden hot plates and high speed fan, caution should be taken anytime small fingers and/or feathers are anywhere around such a products.

I did not buy the product because I felt that other safe products are on the market that when combined provide like performance for less cost.

If you are tight for space and the additional cost is not an issue, its a neat product.

Pazu is still in a state of hating it (if it's turned on) plus the out most casing doesn't get hot (the inner hoop does).
This was an unfortunate gift that I couldn't refuse, I'd never considered getting a heater or fan but it's quick heat function and lack of blades had me curious. It'll be put to some use which is the main thing.
