Just kidding!! He did put his beak on one a couple times but it looks like he decided to stay well clear of them, haha.

He's still not doing great with the eating. Seems he does well as long as I'm watching but I can't be there watching him all day . But he's active and interested in everything, and he loves to fly around the apartment and land on my shoulder (cutie pie!). We're going to the bird shop tomorrow to see how my scale compares to theirs and so they can feel if he's emaciated or not. Not having had a bird before I can't tell for myself...

Its funny because Carrots are the one veggie BB LOVES. Cooked of course .

Wade I would him every day or 2. Easy way to check a birds health. Significant drop = vet visit. He is cute !

I weigh him every morning at about 8:30. Super easy, I keep the scale up on his playtop and give him a quick check soon as I get him out in the morning. He's continued to lose weight since he came home and I've been in contact with the vet and the bird shop where I got him. I'm taking him to the bird shop tomorrow morning and if they think there's a problem then I'll make an appointment with the vet.

Keep trying. Loki used to turn his beak up at them, and usually prefers his veggies cooked, but out of the blue he's been tearing into raw carrots (and suddenly radishes)

What a cutie. These posts help me as well, because I'm trying to get my tiel to eat veggies. So as I say to myself, keep trying. If he's at least eating and active that's a good indicator, but when there's doubt and weight drop. Keep us posted on his progress.
