Dusky Conure with Bumblefoot

Benji is a 12 year old Dusky Conure. Ive owned him since he was an egg. He has my heart.
THe other day I noticed he holding up his foot and upon inspection, I found Bumblefoot on his one toe in the back. I made an appointment for the Vet, but that's not till Thursday and I'm worried Thursday is not getting here fast enough.
Any advice?

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.
International contacts, too.
If none are near you, maybe you could call and ask for a recommendation for somebody in your area.
And... sometimes, distant vets will offer brief thoughts or advice...
