Well Pepper's vet gave me his health info and all clear so this week they started getting to know each other. They seem to like each other. After spending time in the house and yard, we ventured downtown (our SMALL downtown) I think they LOVED IT!!! Here's some pics

Thanks for all the encouragement. I enjoy them so much. As I have been watching Pepper, I don't think that he knows how to play? I have been making him several toys to have in his cage, but he doesn't touch them. I try to play ball, with foot toys, etc.. he loves to be held, talked to and just watched him dance, wave, shake his foot. He is such a sweet boy, I worry he is plucking some of his feathers because they look that way. Any suggestions on getting him interested in toys? He loves going out, but as it gets colder that won't be as easy to do.

They look quite content together, I wish my macaws would like each other cause so far they hate each other....

Sometimes you just have to give them time to get adjusted to the toys for them to play with it. Mine likes the baby rattle toys. It just takes time so don't worry too much on it. ;)

Great Pictures. Looks like they are doing great together. My birds do not like each other but I am still hoping that will change. You have beautiful birds.

What are the gloves you're wearing in the first pic?

Well those silly gloves are a two different things. I am not bothered by my Mac's claws, but my husband is not fond of the marks that are left on my arm. They don't get cut, but they do leave red marks so I have given in to my husbands demands. I guess it's the least I can do since he doesn't give me any problem about my animals :) Anyway, one arm has a parrot arm protector. I didn't realize it only came with one when I ordered it, lol. So while waiting for the 2nd one to arrive, I cut the end off of a blue gripper sock. LOL. Now my husband wants me to wear both the sock and the arm protector over it, I think that's a bit much. Here's a link on the protectors
