I was redoing our appointment board and decided to doodle a little cartoon parrot...Billie was happily sitting on my shoulder watching me draw, then he flew down and started inspecting my drawing, then trying to bite the lines off, since it was dry erase marker, his beak was actually erasing my lines! lol I thought it was cute so I snapped a picture :)

That is cute! I've never tried doing art with my birds, but birds covered in paint is probably a bad idea:D I love your cartoon parrot though. I hope it's still there!

Thanks! I didn't really intend on having an arts and crafts session with billie but he flew over to my shoulder and started watching, then flew down and started checking him out, he's being oddly cuddly today. He about made me melt earlier, he ran up my chest and started tapping his beak against my lips, to which I kept turning my head away because he's already bit me in my lip(fool me once...). Then he crawled up against my neck and just rubbed his cheek against mine and kind of sat there with his face against my cheek! It was the sweetest little thing, I still can't get over the huge personalities in these tiny little birds :) And the cartoon did survive, although I had to redraw his head a bit(and I slimmed him down from that original picture, I noticed he was kind of a fat parrot lol). Once billie started trying to eat the lines I picked him up, the markers are supposed to be non-toxic but I don't trust it to be safe if he would have licked it.

Lol, a fat parrot! I was thinking it looked just like my amazon...who I guess is a fat parrot! Speaking of weird parrot behavior, he was weird today. Normally he just sits on my hand or knee, preening, and wanting petted once in awhile. Today he jumped off my knee, ran over to my keyboard, stomped all over it, and now lots of keys are sticking, then climbed up the couch to go say hi to Rowdy. I intercepted him before he got on her cage, thankfully. She would never want him on her cage, and I sure don't want him biting her.

My conure is not the most touchy, feely bird, but every once in awhile she is oddly affectionate as well. And yes, I've had my lip bitten...more than once!

That is too cute!!!!!!
