Downy feathers

My Moses is slowlolting a few feathers...but I am noting a lot of downy feathers too. Is this normal or is he over preening?

They do lose downy feathers when molting but like I say without seeing a picture of him we won't know

California has had a warm and dry Spring and Early Summer. Parrot will molt those wonderful little white feathers year around to adjust based on exposed temperature. The amount varies widely depending on overall health of the Parrot and the need to adjust to local weather.

Our Amazon can make it snow or seem like he has had several of his friends stop by. So, as an excessive amount can bring attention to the event, the stray one or few can go unnoticed.

Do you mean downy feathers on him? Or molted to the floor? Yes, pics would definitely give us a better idea of what we're working with.

Go to an image hosting site such as Imgur, Flickr, or Google Photos (but not Photobucket, unless you are willing to pay the new, exorbitant fee they've tacked on for 3rd party sharing of images), upload the images there, copy the address (most have a share option, others you can right click - or 2 finger click for my fellow Mac users - and pull up the option, and others yet you'd just have to copy it from the address window) and then paste it in our reply window. (If you didn't use the Share option, but rather pulled it from the address window, make sure to hit the Insert Image icon in your reply window's tool bar. It's the one that looks like a mountain in a picture frame.)

Or you can upload your pics into your PF album and then copy the address and click on the Insert Image icon as above. Let me know if you have any questions.
