So, today, not having bought anything for my fids in a few days I decided to go into a local Wild Bird Shop to see what they might have for my fids. While I was in there a found a treat bar (piece of wood) with holes in it that you are supposed to fill with peanut butter or some type of a spread for the birds. Trying to be funny/cute I walked up to the guy at the counter and said something to the effect of...I don't mean to offend you but I don't really watch "wild" birds but I have parrots.....and then proceeded to ask my question about the product I was buying. It wasn't until I was back at my office that I realized that was a really dumb thing to say. Parrots are/used to be "wild" birds too. Duh!!! The guy at the store is probably thinking...dumb blonde.

LOL that's nothing! Don't worry about it. I went into a store looking for wire for rabbit cages last week, couldn't find the wire. Asked an employee, he's looking around not finding it either. He calls another guy over who is looking for it and I ended up finding the aisle. I found 1 roll of wire that I needed but didn't see the side wire that I was looking for, explained to them and they went off looking in the back room. 20 minutes later they come carrying HUGE rolls of wire which.....yep, wrong size! Walk back to the aisle where we'd been looking for the wire and it was right there the whole time! Bunch of nice guys and they didn't mind helping me but my goodness I felt stupid!:30: Oh, btw. I'm NOT blond! Just was having one of those days!

I know I posted this somewhere before, but fairly recently I went to Home Depot after some SS screws and parts. They only had some of what I was looking for, so I bought it and went to the hardware store for the rest. They didn't have it either, but SOMEHOW I ended up purchasing THE EXACT SAME parts at the hardware store that I already purchased at Home Depot just moments before... Geez, I worry about myself sometimes . The funny thing is, I didn't realize it until I was looking at what I bought, and it took me longer than it should have to figure out what had happened!! It's funny now, but at the time it wasn't so funny, I was disgusted with myself! That's much worse than what you did .

Gosh - I do that too...but usually it's different things and more often around
Christmas than any other time.
