So many of you already know I am hand feeding three baby gcc. My parents plan on keeping one and I plan on keeping one. We were going to keep them in the living room but then I remembered something, my dog. I have a huge dog that droops and shakes his head which makes the slime go everywhere. Would it be bad to keep them in the living room because of this?

I would be more worried the birds being eaten by the dog than worry about drool. However Being such small parrots i would err on caution. I won't even let a bird take food from my mouth because of the bacteria i carry. And of course the potential of getting psittacosis from parrots.

Also a young parrots immune system hasn't matured so they are susceptable to picking up nasties.

No the dog wont eat them, he doesn't even notice them. And he will be put away when the birds come out to play.
