Shut themselves in the cage and proceed to get upset? Like "HOW DARE this door be closed? ?" Lincoln does this ALL the time. And he knows how to open the cage door as long as it's unlocked :/ sometimes he'll close himself in and just go have a snack or take a nap or something but yeah.

Yes! Ekko does this all the time too, and looks so offended that he is now stuck back in the cage.

Yes, and their priceless reactions are one of many reasons we love them so much!!

Well, something like that...
When I trick the Rb back into his cage (one or more times a day) I toss a green chile in and he flaps in after it, only to hear the door slam behind him. He spins around, screaming "NO" and shrieking the Patagonian battle-cry (an ear-splitting "REEEEEE!!!!"). He seems shocked and enfuriated, but after a moment he addresses himself to the chile. This trick has worked for manyyyyyyyyy years: he has no impulse control, and in general, isn't the sharpest tool in the shed... THANK GAWD, or I'd never get his flighted/fearless majesty back into the cage.

The times I've had to trick Salty back into his cage ( I put him in backwards, as in tail first) he gives me this look like "How on Earth did I get here???" Really puzzled you know?

Probably a matter of time until he figures it out... but he's so sweet he'll most likely just go along with his daddio. :)
