Do you think this is a good sign.

When I first got Coco nearly a month ago she was so nervous of me when I was near her cage. She has been settling in slowly, but today when I was putting fresh newspaper in her cage, instead of staying away from me she kept on coming near and playing with the paper that I was holding. Also when she is in her cage she comes to the bars and likes me to touch her beak. She then puts her head down. I give her a scratch for about 1 second lol and then she trys to put my finger in her beak. Do you think that she just wants to play or would she bite hard? I always chicken out and take my hand away.

its hard to say if she would bite, but it sounds like she is coming along!

She seems to be interested in what your doing. Its hard to say if she will bite or not. You have to watch their reaction and the way they position themself. I have never owned a CAG myself I wouldn't know. There's plenty of others that have them in here.

that's exactly how I started off with Bela. He'd put his beak through the bars as far as possible and squish his 'forehead' up tight. I'd rub his head through the bars.
He eventually migrated to coming out and letting me pet him out of the cage. Bela does the same thing with the beak.. hard to say if he's going to bite or just mouthing. He never bites me though, simply plays with my finger with his tongue and beak gently. I say "be gentle" and he is.. he has NEVER bitten me this way. If he does bite, DON'T make any noise.. and DON'T pull away.... deal with the pinch pressure and slowly push into his beak... he will let go ....

GOOD LUCK
