I'm in the process of making some DIY perches and toys to set up in my bedroom for the fids. Essentially, I'm turning the room into a mini-paradise for them. After all, what's mine is theirs! My question is, do you guys have a room specifically set aside for them? Or do they simply stay around the whole house all hours?

I have a extra bedroom that's turned into birdroom but some do stay in the living room with us. Just depending on the bird.

No. It seems like it's Kiwi's apartment, we just crash here :)

I think that's great to set up a big "jungle" for your birds. If you have the room, why not! Kiwi has pretty much free run, but he does get the best view (the big window in the living room). In an apartment, we just can't hang stuff from the ceilings or do anything too crazy for him but he does have a big tree and cage that take up a lot of the living room. The spoiled creature!

I have a birdroom where I have play stuff for the conures and my macaw and lorikeet and the cages all stay in there and then I have one for the lovebirds in my bedroom I'll post videos tomorrow.

My birds have their own place. Which really works out great for me and them. I don't have to worry about kitchen fumes, the gas logs, or the noise. They can make all the noise they want, when they want, and as long as they want. I visit them several times a day and we have a great time. I think the birds actually enjoy their own space.

However, I have a room in the house dedicated as a hospital/isolation room. The door stays closed and the heating is separate.

We are like Kiwi, the whole place belongs to the birds, they just let us sleep here :)

My set up sounds like TessieB's. We have all the big birds in a room to themselves downstairs where we spend most of our time, and a bedroom upstairs where all the little guys are:)

The answer is yes and no. I have a dedicated bird room, but they all have their own cages and get individual play time out in the room. I'm currently redoing it.

I'm in the process of making a room just for my birds. I think it is a great idea.

Fern is always with us-Any room we are in at the time is Fern's room too. In fact, she is right here by me in bed:eek:

My house is tiny, one bedroom so no room for a birdie room but i would love one. My partners Too has her own room though, its pretty cool!

I live with my parents so unfortunately no.
But they have taken over my room pretty much, they got more furniture than me:p
