Do caiques hunt insects?

As far as I know all parrots eat insects, especially during breeding season. They've even been seen eating road kill for protein. Ants are toxic however.

have you heard of them catching and eating small lizards? I have a small anole and if they see him they look like they wanna have a taste.

I have 8 caiques in an aviary and I have seen them on the floor eating ants. And the birds eat better than me. Its just a natural habit I guess

Absolutely true
All wild birds eat insects of some sort.
Great way to get some protein.
