"Mishka"

I could not make out last night what Mishka was doing in her sleep humming or singing

After reading the link below, I really think she was singing happy birthday, a song she is currently learning.
In the article the researcher suggests the songbirds store a song after hearing it, then rehearse it later in their sleep.

I have heard about that before. in a parrot book I own I believe it has reference to birds singing something they have recently heard at night. I have heard Dusty do the same a few times with little tunes i have taught him.

I too have heard this before, very interesting.

Pineapple has actually practiced at night before, but I'm not so sure he's asleep when he does this.

Mishka's night cage is in my bedroom. I cover it with a towel.
There is a spot where I peek in, if needed.
When I heard her last night, I peeked, her eyes were closed.
I double checked, she was fast asleep.

She has been singing happy birthday to....... all day long
I wonder when the you is going to be sung LoL

Yes, mine practice words, songs, and often flap wings with heads tucked while sleeping. I like to think it is just happy dreams.

I don't have a tag or cag, but I know my Senegal talks in his sleep - well its more like mumbling, but you can make out most of what he is saying.
