Is it worth it? I am contemplating, but not sure if I care or not. I really feel that Rio is a female, but I could be wrong. But i do want to meet all her nutritional needs, so is it worth it?

I'm in the same boat as you, I just got Charlie the BF Zon and have a vet appt on weds I am seriously considering DNA sexing with her? I don't know that It will make a difference in how I raise her? but I think that it is nice to know...

It's 25 $ , is it worth it for a pet bird? I don't think so. What difference does it make? If you already have the bird, it is what it is. Your not going to exchange it for another one. Don't stress. If i was buying a baby , then i would spend the money to get my choice, but if you already have it ,,, what does it matter. Diet is the same. The boys need a home too.

I prefer males haha But I didn't have my Quaker sex tested. My caique is sex tested but the breeder did it as included in the price. I would probably get it done because in just curious. Up to you though. :)

It's only $25, I like knowing, so yeah, it's worth it to me :)

I'd hate to not know. Calling him a her, etc. Doesn't make any difference to the actual care giving of the bird, just I think it's handy to know.

Plus, I feel reassured in the fact that I don't have to worry about egg laying troubles as I have two boys. :21:

(So means I'm not being overly aware watching for any troubles with eggs. Which would be my reasoning behind a sexing.)

I like to know just for pronoun's sake. :)

I always wonder though, how the parrots themselves can tell?
