Alexandrine Parakeet
Hi Guys,

I know many of you must have asked and many of us don't know what is it ?

I got and Alexandrine Parakeet Baby when it was 25days old, Named him Django :) after Jamie Fox's character.

He is by grace of god 67 days Old as i write now. Can anyone Guess his/her gender ?

Hello,
it is very hard to tell the gender of a young Alexandrine juts by looking at it. You can get him/her DNA or surgically sexed, or you'd have to wait for the ring (if any) to come in (which is usually between 2 - 3 years, however sometimes as early as 18 months)

Thank you m8, problem is in dubai its only place and by the time i get off from work it's closed :) so need to wait :) but really ty for the reply. :green2:

No problem :D
I know some DNA sexing places do it though mail (you download and print the form off and fill out and send off) but it usually requires you to pull out feathers from your bird (about 3 - 4 cm long) or take blood (with a blood kit they send you) and send in a separate envelope stapled (stapled, ect) to the main one...

At a guess, I'm gonna say a girl. I'm going off the beak

Yeah Many people of the same opinion thats' it's a girl ! the shop keeper said it's a male so thats was confused me you know but as it stays healthy i don't mind make or female, my daughter is praying it to be a female :) so she'll be happy :)
