Two Jendays conures!
I’ve got two jenday conures, can someone give me exact diets for them so they can stay healthy that includes seeds? Along with timing? I usually just leave a tray full of seeds , nuts and dried fruits in their cage whenever they’re hungry and they eat it.

The appropriate diet would be mostly veg, some fruit, and pellets/dry mix as 30% or lower.

Leaving a bowl of seeds, nuts, and dry fruit in their cage isn't ideal. High amounts of seed isn't the best for them.. dry fruit should only be a treat due to high sugar content.

Hopefully some Jenday owners will see this soon for more specific diet advice!

What veggies and pellets do you recommend? Do you recommend timing?

By timing, do you mean a routine? Example: breakfast at 9am, lunch at 2pm etc? Yeah, it's good to put them in a routine.

As for pellets, I suggest TOP's or Harrisons Roudybush is also OK. :)

I give my fids breakfast at 9am (veggies, sprouts, etc), lunch is the same as breakfast, and dinner is dry food.

I'll tell you soon about veggies :)

Appreciate it , my birds are very picky

I have a Quaker and a Sun who eat the same diet.

They get a pelleted diet of Harrison's pellets, fruit, and vegetables (which is whatever I am eating or have on hand). I give them some mixed nuts as a added snack made by Kaytee.

They love millet.

For reward treats, they love Harrison's Power Treats
