Did I realy get the wrong size play gym?

I put together this play gym Parrot playground playstand

Captain Jack is not scared of it. He acts like it is a struggle to walk on it. Not to mention when he is out of the cage he wants to be on my shoulder. He so far does not want to stay on this gym. He has started playing on top of his cage. Did he need this size instead? Prevue Pet Portable Play Ground at Drs. Foster & Smith: Big Steps Playstand for medium birds

Give CJ a chance to get used to it.....while we might equate our feathered friends to small children, they often take a reserved approach to new things, though not always.....

Yes just give it time!! He will come to love it, just put his favourite toys, or treats on it!

Sometimes it takes Fargo a while to actually play on something rather than just sit there looking uncomfortable But when he figures its fun, he swings and climbs all over it! He wouldnt sit on his java perch for a few days and now hes actually sitting on it right at this moment chewing the toys!

Dont worry, Captain Jack will figure out its fun and he will be climbing and hanging all over it soon
