Deposit is down - Now we wait!

Went and put a deposit down today on a baby boy! About 7 weeks.

I got him at Bird Mania -- they still have another baby boy, one week older

Awwww congrats!!! I'm still waiting for my baby too! 7 weeks? Mine is older than your baby but I don't get him for another 8 weeks or so!! She said weening depends on the babies, but I guess we'll see.

Thank you. We are very excited. And yea were waiting a while, I was told the same thing- all depends on the baby.

I'm very happy things worked out. I never had doubts, it was just an unfortunate situation but Debbie was very determined to get more babies and she did exactly that. We're happy to finally have a baby and will be visiting as often as possible!

Absolutely adorable. We missed that phase with scooter. He was already weaned when we got him. He got on hubby and wouldn't get off. Now he follows him around like Woodstock. Lol.

Nick picked him. The other one was much more rowdy and flopping all over the place and screaming away.. This little baby chirped and cooed and crawled into Nicks hands and fell asleep. <3

Yep, it's a white belly. And we're already excited. We have big plans and high hopes for this baby. Now we need to figure out a name. We have a few ideas but we need to wait for his little personality to shine through.

I just found out that the two babies my breeder is weening are one boy and one girl!!!!! I kind of want a boy birdie, but we'll see which one has a more outgoing personality!! I've been making TONS of toys for him.

Sorry for stealing you thread Butters! As you can tell, bird mania seems to be full of great customers as well as employees. I've been there at least half a dozen times in the last couple of months, making sure my daughter is comfortable handling the birds since she is getting a Hahns macaw for her 16th birthday. I typically have to pry her away from the store.
Sassy and punkindave, as I said, your caique couldn't have been sweeter! All I keep asking my daughter is " so, a Hahns is still your favorite?" of course, her answer is yes. I am strongly considering a caique if I get a second bird for myself. Knowing there is another available is sure tempting!

Scooter is the caique that I saw months back that really made me take an interest in this particular parrot. At that time Heather and I were just getting info on the eclectus and bird care.
