Hi team,
2 days ago I got a new company. It's an Orange-Winged Amazon, a small baby that still makes baby sounds (just taken off the syringe), shakes its head and literally stood on its own hand for the first time yesterday in the cage. While we were transporting him, it took 3-4 hours from destination to destination and it was hot, after all it was a car, he had a big cage in the car, but he didn't quite manage to get water by himself, so I gave him 2 times water. On Saturday, she ate little, very little and drank a lot of water, probably due to dehydration. She continued like that yesterday, but not as much as she drank on Saturday. He eats little by little, he doesn't eat very much now, but he eats often but little. On Saturday, I saw that she pooped only water, without traces of anything else, it was literally just water and she did that very often. Yesterday I noticed that she started pooping with green traces of food, which encouraged me. Today, she also poops water and poops normally, but her stools still haven't returned to normal because she only knows how to expel liquid and a little mucus. She is currently eating seeds for large parrots, but I plan to switch her to pellets, which, just like I discovered, and she can't squeal, she simply takes the pellet in her mouth and throws it out. I also gave her an apple, which she ate, and she also ate 3 peas.
Can you tell me if this is normal, I think it was all influenced by stress, new surroundings, new people, heat in the car, dehydration and all that. Will the stool return to normal?
