ok heres a few pics of Smokey in his sock buddy , this is day2 and at least it isn't completely shredded not yet anyways I have a few improvemnets I want to make on the next one , like the neck higher and the front a little longer other then that it's perfect

Looks downright suave if you ask me! Now all he needs is a pipe and a pair of slippers. :)

now he is really plucking his wings big time and under his neck :(

Cut the sock in a way that the material goes far up under his wings and up his neck. Contact Suzanne if you have a question on how to adjust the sock. I stayed in contact with her at the beginning to get her advice. She even cut more socks for me making the adjustments.

Also check often for frays. If the thread is too long, your bird can pull it and it can tighten the sock, which you obviously want to avoid.

Don't get discouraged. I remember thinking " Fine, pluck your feathers, rip the sock, that's ok, but the sock is staying on". I stopped stressing about it. They can feel your emotions, so try to relax. And at the end, it worked.

Looking at the pictures, the sock is not covering under the wings/neck enough. Do you remember the pics of my Grey with the sock on? You can't see the edges of the material.
