Dark poop question

My conure are pomegranate earlier today and his poop turned purple almost blackish. Do you think the pomegranate caused that? I have a vet booked for Monday I see if they’ll do some tests and maybe blood work if needed. Thank you! The poop did nave some of his normal colour and it was a little watery but he just finished eating chip with lots of water.

There is probably nothing wrong! I'm sure it's due to the pomegranate. as long as it doesn't continue after about 3-5 poops, it should be totally fine!

Excellent advise above.

A quick change in color is commonly food coloration based.

But, if there had been a 'transition' in color, it could be a problem with one of the major organs. Hence your Vet visit makes sense.
