Basically, dander is an issue with powder-based parrots such as cockatoos, cockatiels, and african greys.
These parrots use powder from a little nub above their tails to coat their feathers and make them somewhat water-proof
Most other parrots are oil-based. Their gland is oilier, so they generate less dust and dander.
