Cup trays as foraging toys?

Anyone use these?

Chinet Cup Holder Tray, Holds Four 8 to 32-Oz. Cups, 300 Trays HUH20938

I put one upside down and could poke veggies and treats through the holes. They can chew and make the holes bigger to get at the food. I would use these for smaller birds. Do you think this is a safe/good foraging toy? Would they get bored after a while?

I realise this is a old post but I was searching the forum for foraging ideas and came across it.

To answer your question - yes, I think you can use the cup holder. Its similar to egg cartons I would imagine.

I've also seen several reverances to using it online. I hope it is ok to post these links here (mods - pse let me know if this is not allowed?).

Since i know now they can have it,i will try to find some in my country.
I know my mothers gala will go nuts for it,chewing is literately the only thing she does as playing.

Hacatta - remember, it doesn't have to be a drinks holder, egg cartons work too. Please just make sure the egg carton is paper based and not styrofoam.
