It is very windy here in NY today , up to 60 mph winds at times !
I was out for a short time in the field with the dogs and I saw a flock of crows that were circling and what looked like surfing the wind. They would tumble an let the wind take them for a bit , then recover and do it again ! It looked like they were enjoying themselves tremendously . I was wondering if anybody has seen this behaviour before in crows or any other wild bird.
It was really cool to watch and I wish I couldve stayed longer , but the wind was so bad and there were limbs down everywhere , I heeded my husbands warning and stayed as long as it took for all the dogs to empty ,then it was a race back to the house. They won lol.
