Green Cheek Yellow Sided Conure.
So heres the deal, my 1 year old conure (who is still babyish - hehe) keeps crawling up my sleeve and nibbling my arm and... well anything on the way up, he beaks, and nibbles... I was just curious is this normal, because he has been known to do things like roll on his back... lol, so yeah is this normal? :p

If it is normal, why does he do it? I don't mind but why does he do it, im just curious.

Conures are very loving and affectionate little birds. I have a CBC conure and he does the same thing. He crawls on my finger and then up my arm to my shoulder or chest all the while he is nibbling on me. It is a sign of affection I think. I love his little nibbles and kisses. Enjoy you baby sounds like he loves you.

Ahh okay brilliant! But he goes under my sleeve at my hand, then crawls up UNDERNEATH the sleeve the whole time, then pops out at the collar area goes back down... Nibbling the whole way lol...

Greencheeks are normally very fond of enclosed areas. If you've got long sleeves, they'll probably run up them; if you put a blanket on your lap, they'll probably run under it.

My blue crown Tootsie does the same thing except she does not go up my shirt. But she just loves to nibble on my arm or leg if I have shorts on. She will half lay upon me and just explore with beak and tongue. The other BC, Rosco, also nibbles though he hasn't learned that his nibbles can hurt. Or maybe he knows and does it anyway cause he is upset that Tootsie is giving me attention instead of him. Though Tootsie does not crawl into shirts she does love to go down under a blanket if I have one across my lap. Get both of them under there and I get a riot of purrs, squees, sqwaaks and other assorted conure noises.

I had a Budgie that liked to hide up my sleeve. Sometimes coming out by my neck, other times going down the inside of my shirt. She'd stay there and nap.

Hahahaha. Sounds like you have a realy cutie-pie that likes entertaining himself and you too. Normal.

My Cherry-head does stuff like that -- love being under blankets, clothes. This is really cute and funny -- if standing for a while in one place like in front of sink, he'll come over and duck under the bottom hem of the pants leg and you just see his two litle feet.

My little conure does the same thing. Up my shirt sleeve, down the front of my shirt, etc. he's quite the little character!!
