I stumbled on this ad on CL today - just have to share:
"2 for the price of one, don't have birds anymore so I am selling them to someone can use them this is a good deal as bird cages are not cheap two gold colored bird cages one is nicer then the other so if you want to buy them separately the nicer one is $50 and the other $20 or both for $80"

Good math, isn't it? :D

I know exactly what you mean...!!
Someone was selling a bird near me(I think it was a Quaker or something) and they said they'll do $200 for the bird, and $100 for the cage, or $350 for all.. Yeah.. okay. :p

LMAO! I can only image how those cages look. He should drop them off at the nearest recycler and stop posting on CL. Or he's in the fourth grade--scratch that, second grade because that was ridiculous.

Kalidasa, you're right - they looked like recycling junk. :) Wish you've seen that picture. :D Poor birds...

I saw a guy selling parrot eggs, saying theyd be great for an omlette. Where do these people get these dumb ideas

OMG, Erik, unbelievable… Makes me wanna throw up.

Actually, the eggs would do better in a salad if you boiled them.... there are pictures and videos of people cooking sterile/infertile parrot eggs! Particularly cockatiel eggs.

I do have egg-laying hens (and the eggs would never hatch!), but I could never bring myself to eating the eggs! (but I do eat chicken eggs!)
