I know Cockatoos are supposed to be the big snugglebugs of the parrot world, but I just find it hard to believe that even a Cockatoo likes to snuggle more than Cracker. Cracker is almost most like a cat or a dog in his foundness for scritches. Today he did something he never did before. While I was scritching the top of his head he sort of got on his side and lifted up one wing and let me scritch him under his wing. I know Cracker is not a perfect parrot. He is not potty trained and will go to the bathroom anytime he wants. If I do not give him his way or watch him very carefully he will still sometimes give me a good peck with his beak (this habit is becoming less frequent thankfully) Despite these shortcoming on his part (and perhaps my part also) I could not ask for a more affectionate companion pet. I can see how other parrots on this forum can be just as affectionate as Cracker. I do not see how they could be more affectionate.
