Crabby bird

Boy Peep is having a heavy molt! He is itchy and crabby. Lots of baths and he allows me to preen his pin feathers a bit. I feel so badly for him but have to laugh at his constant "grrrrrr" attitude. He hangs around on my shoulder and is content there most of the time.

Sheldon gets that way. I feel so bad for him. I want to help with the pin feathers and I think most of the time he wants the help.but boy, if you rub him wrong he'll let you know...Just cant take it personal.

LoL. I just went through this with Fred. He would let me get his pin feathers but if I got one that I guess he feels isn't ready he yells at me and beaks me. No bites or pinches. Just makes me laugh because it always catches me off guard. Your sitting there and they let you get most the all the sudden they get all pissy. I'm chuckling just thinking about it.

Haha. Peep is the same. He allows me to open pin feathers but gives a loud squeak when I rub him the wrong way but never bites. He's a sweetheart even when soooooo crabby.

Poor little things - JellyBean is exactly the same at the moment - all itchy and feathery... loves it when I preen his head..

Yeah I feel for you, lil miss prissy kiwi is one big ol crabby patty these days with all her pinnies. She had a hissy fit with my husband this morning and bit the snot out of his hand. He gives up to easy... Haha.
