Hi everyone, hoping someone may have some advice or have experienced this themselves. I have a small corella named Roy. We took him to the vet with cuts to his feet, same spot on both feet at the crease of one of his toes. We weren’t sure how this had happened (injury or self harm) so vet did an X-ray and took bloods which came back all clear and there is no clear and obvious issues with his feet that can be seen. We healed them up put him on an anti inflammatory, Gabo pentinin and antibiotics. As soon as antibiotics stopped he attached his back toe and so we thought he must be self mutilating for a reason. The vet thought it was unusual that it was after stopping antibiotics but we have been unable to work out what is wrong. They put him back on 5 days of antibiotics and again as soon as we finish the antibiotics his feet seem to bother him again and he stomps at night as if they annoy him. He is still on the anti inflammatory and Gabo Pentinin but he still stomps at night. He hasn’t mutilated his feet again but something is definitely bothering him. He is overweight and his diet isn’t great and I’m just changing him to a more pellet diet as advised by the vet. Anyone offer any suggestions on what I can do next? Could he need a longer course of antibiotics? Thanks
