To shorten the story, my sennie at the cord to my x-box controller. I'm not real thrilled about that, but now my partner has me worried because she mentioned all the shredded metal/wire bits on the coffee table.

It looks to me that she shredded it as opposed to eating it, but you never know. She might have ingested a small piece of wiring. If she did what signs should I be looking for? I know I should be watching her poos. Anything else?

Other than watching her droppings, watch her appetite. The only way to know for sure if anything got ingested would be an x-ray, but seeing as that is stressful and costly, I can see why it's not exactly ideal.

I read on Raven's thread regarding Robin's lead toxocosis(spelling?) that peanut butter or almond butter might be a good idea to feed, as it could stick and remove anything that shouldn't be there. That being said, it could also move it somewhere less desirable.

Best of luck, hopefully she was just chewing with no intent to eat.

Edit: Here's the thread, the bottom of page 3 is what I'm referring to. http://www.parrotforums.com/general...nosed-chronic-lead-toxicosis-long-post-3.html

Karen, I am so sorry! I hope that she is going to be okay, hopefully she just chewed and left it. I have read of other birds who chewed cords and were just fine, and hopefully that will be the case here as well.
