I have TONS of Cooks Essentials bakeware from QVC. Cookie sheets, muffin pans, cake pans, etc. and I can't figure out if these are safe or not. Does anyone know?

Is it the nonstick kind? I tried to do a quick goggle and I saw nonstick and paper (Wth is paper cookwear? ha.)

Nonstick is usually teflon which is toxic. You could call the manufacturer and ask what they use on it?

Not at all. It does contain Teflon. Don't oust it though- just be sure not to burn it or overheat it

I did call and was told they have a special coating and it is not "Teflon" BUT that seems weird to me. I also called Calphalon about my hard anodized pans and they said they were safe for birds, but not to leave them in the oven while it preheats.

You can google it online and it will say it has Teflon. My roomie has the coolest so I know. Well, I'm pretty sure it Teflon might be another material. It I know it's dangerous.

Here is a link on QVS selling Cooks Essentials and saying they do have teflon. Just be careful. Throwing away everything mad eof Teflon would be a waste of money and ridiculous. Just be careful cooking. If you're really worried buy and outdoor stand or cage to put her in, in case of emergencies or to jsut put her in any time you are cooking.

The stainless steel nonstick has no Teflon, which is being sold, but the normal Cooks Essentials does. That one will have a black coat for the nonstick. i assume the Stainlesss Steel has a silver coat for the nonstick portion.
