Barankin (2006 - 2013)- peachface lovebird
Tihan - Yellow naped amazon (6+ years)
I usually leave all kind of seeds pellets and fruits in the cage of my birds.
I prefear watching their weight rather than strictly controlling the diet feeding pellets+fruits only (because they have the sense of taste too).

I realised Tihan has an interesting behaviour.
He takes an apple, deeps it into one kind of seeds and eats apple with seeds, like if it was a nutrition bar.
Then he takes a banana (or another wet/stiky fruit) and deeps it into another kind of seeds and eats it the same way.
Sometimes we will eat fruit as it is, sometimes he will take 2 small pieces of fruit in his claw and make sure to take a huge bite from both of them at the same time.

I got a "cooking" parrot :p

Tried to film, but he's camera shy and as soon as he sees it, he freezes.

Cheers!

hahahaha, Maybe you could set up a webcam and leave it there to capture him preparing his "dishes"?

That's awesome! Like chips and dip:)
