Can anyone tell me exactly what kind of conure this is? It's really different than the ones I usually see online. Just curious. Someone said masked conure but when I searched images I get either the cherry or blue headed variety, not this. Rather than search for ten years I thought I'd just ask you guys because who knows birds better than you??? :)

Thank you! That looks to be exactly what it is :) Much appreciated! I'll bookmark that website.

Those are very rare birds by the way. You almost never see them.

Is that your new baby?!

Nope, apparently they are not hardly available in the US as far as I've found. I saw it online and thought it was a striking conure. I wanted to learn more about them. I've been told the one I may be getting is a turquoise green cheek. If that does happen I really can't get any more birds. It wouldn't be fair to them if I did.

Well I knew someone was giving you a new conure, and I was just curious if they had mistaken the identity of it, and they were actually giving you one of these... (in which case I was gonna say, man, you just lucked out, do you have any idea how rare those are?!)

Well, actually, you do.

I've seen exactly one in twenty years.

Where did you find the pic? Someone clearly has that bird as a pet.

Facebook, someone posted it. After some further investigation it looks like an overseas owner.

Such a pretty bird :) I had not ever taken a good look at them before.
