Congo/Timneh

Hi all,

I believe that my 5 month old grey is Congo, but the darker tail leaves me a bit confused. I do recognize of course that he does not have adult coloration. Photos that I have seen of young congos have full bright red tails.

At 4 + months his weight was either 320 or 420 grams. I do not have a scale to verify myself.

Beak color says Congo…

It’s a Congo African grey.
got to see a really young one at the pet shop and it had the dark red tail feathers also.
they grew out/changed to bright red over time.

I am still in search of an African Grey Parrot. Lots of CAGs are found online but few seem legitimate,
I live in the USA on the East Coast.
Any suggestions are appreciated
