Yesterday I noticed Emmett's poo was more green than usual and Liquidy. It's still the same today and he is also sitting lower on his perch -- squatting down. He seems very tired. That said, he escaped from his cage sometime during the night. Perhaps he didn't sleep well b/c of that. I found him on the top of his cage this morning. First time that's ever happened. He also ate some different veggies -- more green.

I'm so worried. I would appreciate any advice while I'm waiting to hear from my vet. . .

What veggies were it that he'd eaten?

Broccoli, carrots, peas ... It was a mash I made a while ago (and I don't remember exactly what I put in it) and I grabbed it from the freezer. He's eaten it before and I don't remember his poo being so watery

Well, all three of those can change his poop colors. I don't like how he is sitting low though. Could be tummy pains. Could he have gotten something on his escape?

Maybe he is a little dehydrated from the watery poo and that is why he looks tired . Is he drinking enough water? If you had some pedialyte you might try giving him a few drops of that?
Hope he feels better soon.

Hope Emmett is feeling better!

Those veggies could make his poos green, and maybe a little runnier. I also don't like that he's sitting low on his perch though. It's possible that he might be tired from not sleeping well, but I would be worried. When Puck is short on sleep he is more moody and aggressive, but he doesn't actually act tired.

Sorry to have been offline. Yesterday and today were hectic days! Anyway, Emmett seems to be improved. His poops are still green, but less watery and there are solid elements to them too. He's talking and sitting more upright.

Greycloud, you had a point about him getting something during his escape, but I ruled that out since he was found on top his cage. He's clipped, so if he flies, he can't get back up on top his cage. Nothing in the house was disturbed either. He's not a wanderer in general either.

I'm keeping a close eye on him. Thinking about taking him in to the vet on Monday for a weight check just to be sure. I need to get a scale!
