Our B&G is 10 years old. Yesterday I noticed a small white spot that almost looks like a reflection of light deep in one eye. It does not seem to bother him in any way, nor does his eye look swollen or irritated. We moved from Florida and no longer have a good regular avian vet.
For whatever it its worth and I don't know if it has a thing to do with this, his eyes have always been odd. Even at age 10 he has the very dark eyes of a young parrot. Both my old vet and birdsitter had commented on this, but it also was clear that his vision was very good.
Does anyone have any ideas about what this might be? If I need to do so, I will drive the 12 hours back to our old vet.
